Phone number patterns
A pattern is what makes a number memorable: a repeating digit, a run of sequential digits, a string that reads the same forwards and backwards. Each pattern below explains what it means and shows the numbers in stock today, so you can pick the type that is easiest for you, or your customers, to remember.
Triple or quads · 440,185A run of three or four identical digits, usually at the end. Example: (240) 232-1111
Double pairs · 833,270Two or more adjacent pairs of identical digits (aabb, aabbcc). Example: (838) 383-4040
Ladders · 530,289A stepwise sequence going up or down (1234, 9876). Example: (201) 636-1234
Block repeats · 25,143A short block of digits repeated (abab, abcabc). Example: (201) 703-7037
Memorable tails · 712,789A last-four group people already know (1000, 2468, 5678). Example: (424) 242-1911
Low varieties · 3,692Only two or three distinct digits in the local seven. Example: (201) 277-2227
Round numbers · 775,930Trailing zeros (x000, xx00). Example: (937) 977-1000
How the beauty score and tiers work
Every number gets a deterministic beauty score from its digit pattern: runs of the same digit, ladders, palindromes, repeated blocks and familiar endings all add to it. The score sets the tier, from Standard ($49.95) up to Grail, and the tier sets the price. Higher score means a rarer pattern. It is not a customer rating. The scale is open-ended; the highest score in today's catalog is 561.
