How it works

A memorable number is an asset. You buy it once, we hand it over with a transfer PIN, and you port it to your own carrier. No lock-in, no monthly plan.

How do I buy a vanity phone number?

Search the catalog by pattern, area code or word, pick a number and pay once by card. Your card is authorised first; we re-confirm the number is still free and lock it to you, then capture the payment and send a transfer pack. You hand that pack to your own carrier or phone app, and it ports the number in.

01

Find your number

Search millions of available US local and toll-free numbers. Filter by pattern — repeaters, palindromes, ends-in, area code — and by tier. Every number shows a beauty score and a firm price.

02

Reserve it at checkout

Click Get it and pay through Stripe. Your card is authorized (a hold), not charged yet. Checkout is hosted by Stripe — your card details never touch us.

03

We secure it instantly

The moment you confirm, we re-check the number is still available and lock it to you, then set a private transfer PIN (port-out passcode). If someone grabbed it a second earlier, you're simply not charged — pick another.

04

Pay & get your transfer pack

Once the number is yours, the payment is captured and we email your transfer pack: the number, its transfer PIN, and the account details your new carrier will ask for.

05

Port it to any carrier

Take the pack to your carrier (mobile, VoIP, PBX — your choice) and port the number in, usually within hours at mobile carriers and days to a few weeks at business/VoIP services. You have 90 days to complete the transfer.

Why a transfer, not a plan? gonumbers sells the number itself — the memorable string of digits. You own it and run it wherever you like. That's why there's no per-month fee here: you pay once and move it to the carrier you already use.

Questions

What exactly am I buying?

The right to a specific, memorable phone number and everything needed to port it to your carrier: the number and its transfer PIN. You are not buying a calling plan from us.

What is porting / a transfer PIN?

Porting moves a phone number from one carrier to another. Your new carrier asks for the number, the account it sits on, and a port-out PIN. We set that PIN for you and send it in your transfer pack.

How long does the transfer take?

Most ports complete in a few business days once your carrier submits the request. You have 90 days from purchase to complete it; we'll remind you if it's still pending.

What if the number gets taken while I'm paying?

We re-verify availability at the moment of sale. If it's gone, your card hold is released and you're not charged — just choose another number.

Do calls and texts work on gonumbers?

No — and they don't need to. The number is delivered for you to port to your own carrier, where your calls and texts run. That's the whole point.

Can I get a refund?

If we can't secure the number, you're never charged. You can get a full refund within 14 days if the number has not been ported; see our Refund Policy. For refund questions after a completed purchase, email [email protected] with your order ID and we'll review it individually.

Do you have Canadian numbers?

Not at the moment. The catalog is US local numbers and US toll-free numbers only. Check back; we'll update this if that changes.

Does every carrier accept these numbers?

Most mobile, business and VoIP providers do; personal Google Voice does not (it accepts mobile numbers only), and toll-free numbers usually go to business/VoIP services. See the per-carrier guide before you buy if you have a specific provider in mind.
